Cada Miembro un Ministro 1 de 4

Lo Básico de los Grupos Vida y sus Líderes En el centro de nuestra visión para cada miembro de IBB está la meta de que TODOS lleguen a ser ministros de la gracia de Dios a otros. Hacemos una distinción entre “servicio” y “ministerio.” Servicio es algo que cualquiera puede hacer. Servidos al dar la bienvenida ó al entregar boletines. Servimos danto de nuestro tiempo para cumplir con proyectos en la Iglesia. Servimos al ayudar a personas con necesidades de la vida diaria que tengan. Todo el que esté dispuesto puede servir a otros.

Pero, ministerio es cuando tomamos la Palabra de Dios y ayudamos a otros a Conocer a Dios; les ayudamos a crecer en la voluntad y en los caminos de nuestro Señor; les ayudamos a cambiar las mentiras que han creído acerca de sí mismo y del mundo a su alrededor por la Verdad que encontramos en Jesús y en Su Palabra. Grupos Vida son el centro del ministerio en IBB y queremos que cada miembro entienda el propósito y el potencial de estos grupos, y a la vez entender a las personas que hacen que éstas sean posibles. Cada equipo de liderazgo de los Grupos Vida está compuesto por tres personas ó parejas:

1) Un Anfitrión: alguien que ofrece su hogar ó prepara el ambiente físico en el cual el Grupo se va a reunir.

2) Un Entrenador ó facilitador: Alguien que ayuda a dirigir la discusión y provee la dirección espiritual para el grupo.

3) Un Aprendiz: Alguien que se une a facilitador para recibir entrenamiento práctico para poder dirigir un Grupo Vida en el futuro. Creemos que esta es la manera más efectiva para que nosotros, como pastores y líderes de la Iglesia, podamos cumplir con lo que Pablo escribió en Efesios 4:11-16:

11 Y él mismo constituyó a unos, apóstoles; a otros, profetas; a otros, evangelistas; a otros, pastores y maestros, 12 a fin de perfeccionar a los santos para la obra del ministerio, para la edificación del cuerpo de Cristo, 13 hasta que todos lleguemos a estar unidos por la fe y el conocimiento del Hijo de Dios; hasta que lleguemos a ser un hombre perfecto, a la medida de la estatura de la plenitud de Cristo; 14 para que ya no seamos niños fluctuantes, arrastrados para todos lados por todo viento de doctrina, por los engaños de aquellos que emplean con astucia artimañas engañosas, 15 sino para que profesemos la verdad en amor y crezcamos en todo en Cristo, que es la cabeza, 16 de quien todo el cuerpo, bien concertado y unido entre sí por todas las coyunturas que se ayudan mutuamente, según la actividad propia de cada miembro, recibe su crecimiento para ir edificándose en amor. Equipar a personas para el Ministerio Dejar que ellos participen de VERDADERO ministerio y gocen del fruto (y los desafíos) del desarrollo espiritual Juntos edificando una iglesia que creyentes maduros, en un ambiento saludable y creciente, lleno de amor.

Every Member a Minister 1 of 4

At the core of our vision for every member of IBB is the goal for everyone to become a minister of the grace of God to others. We make a distinction between “service” and “ministry.” Service is something anyone can do. We serve by greeting at the door or handing out bulletins. We serve by volunteering time to accomplish a project around the church. We serve by helping people in the day-to-day needs that they might have.

Anyone who is willing can serve someone else. Ministry, on the other hand, is when we take the Word of God and help others come to Know God; help them Grow in the will and ways of our Lord; help them exchange the lies they have believed about themselves and the life around them for the Truth that is found in Jesus and His Word. Life Groups are the very center of ministry at IBB and we want every member to understand the purpose and potential of these groups, as well as the people that it takes to make them possible. Every Life Group leadership team is made up of three people or couples:

1) A Host: Someone who offers their home OR prepares the physical space for the Group to meet in.

2) A Trainer or facilitator: Someone who will help guide the discussion and provide the spiritual direction for the group.

3) An Apprentice: Someone who comes along side the facilitator to have on-the-jobtraining to possible lead a Life Group of their own in the future. We believe this is the most effective way for us, as pastors and leaders of the Church, to fulfill what Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:11-16:

11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. 16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. (NLT)

Equip people to minister Let them be involved in REAL ministry and enjoy the fruit (and challenges) of spiritual development Together build up a church of mature believers in a healthy and growing environment, full of love.
